Strengthening Georgia's Community Service Boards.
Transforming Lives Together.

The Georgia Association of Community Service Boards (GACSB) is the statewide organization representing Georgia's public behavioral health system. We strengthen Community Service Boards through advocacy, leadership, workforce development, strategic partnerships, and collaboration—helping ensure individuals and families have access to quality behavioral healthcare across Georgia.

Our Story

The Georgia Association of Community Service Boards (GACSB), established in 1994, exists to strengthen and advance Georgia's Community Service Boards as the public behavioral health safety net. The Association provides leadership, advocacy, collaboration, and resources to support high-quality, community-based services for individuals with mental health, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders.
GACSB fulfills this mission by:

  • Advocating for policies that strengthen Georgia's public behavioral health system.
  • Promoting collaboration and the exchange of ideas, best practices, and innovation among Community Service Boards.
  • Developing resources, partnerships, and solutions that support operational excellence and improved outcomes.
  • Serving as the unified voice for Georgia's Community Service Boards on issues of statewide importance.
  • Supporting leadership development and workforce initiatives that strengthen the behavioral health system.

CSB Spotlight: Celebrating Impact Across Georgia

Across Georgia, Community Service Boards are doing extraordinary work every day to strengthen communities and ensure individuals and families have access to the behavioral health and developmental disability services they need.

Through our CSB Spotlight, GACSB is proud to highlight the people, programs, partnerships, and innovative approaches making a difference throughout our statewide network.

Each CSB serves a unique community, but together they share a common commitment: meeting people where they are and helping build healthier, stronger communities.

Check back regularly as we spotlight CSBs from across Georgia and celebrate the people, programs, and partnerships moving behavioral health forward.

Tell us the Impact your CSB is making!
