Compliance (Created 5/11/07)
The Compliance Interest Group will meet to discuss and review collectively any issue impacting CSB’s organizational compliance with federal, state, regulatory, healthcare oversight, licensing, certification and accrediting standards. The group will integrate into its processes the use of internal and external knowledgebase, along with comparable data analysis to offer for consideration, appropriate recommendations and actions, which ensure optimal organizational compliance. The group will research and review relevant CSB issues and/or needs, utilizing industry standards in the areas clinical programming, documentation, billing, quality assurance, human relations and human resource management and etc. As requested or indicated, on behalf of the GACSB board of directors, the group will develop “White Papers” to address and/or affirm a collective stance in response to regulatory and/or legislative changes.

Developmental Disabilities (Created 5/11/07)
To support standardization of DD Best Practices across all member CSB services; To provide a forum for communication with the Division Office of Developmental Disabilities during the transition to the new DD waivers; To provide a forum for communication with other DD statewide entities toward development of and strengthening of existing partnerships – i.e, Ga Council of DD, SPADD; To provide a forum for identification of common issues and problems and for seeking solutions applicable to all or most of the CSBs.

Addictive Diseases (Created 7/13/07)
The purpose of this interest group is to promote AD issues, identify funding opportunities, collaborate with other agencies, and serve as advocates of AD issues in an effort to influence policy-makers and develop training opportunities. The existence of a forum that allows for face-to-face dialog amongst AD professionals has provided opportunities to problem solve, collaborate, and even debrief in such a way that could not be achieved in a conference-call-only type meeting. This group will advocate for AD issues, collaborate on grant/funding opportunities, network with other professionals and decision makers, develop training opportunities to both earn and maintain professional credentials, and create a forum for people interested in learning more about the field of AD or to apply their knowledge and expertise.

Fiscal Managers (Created 7-13-07)
This group has been meeting since the inception of section groups in the GA CSB Association. This group keeps up with financial issues that have impact on CSB viability. Information is often gathered and shared through the Fiscal Managers section on issues that have an impact on or interest to all CSB’s. Information is shared among the members of this group on issues that all members may not be aware of. This group has been very helpful to the financial staff in accomplishing tasks of the ever changing environment. It is valuable to get together with other fiscal managers to discuss issues, problems and solutions that have been found to work for their agency. It is desired to keep this group going in order to maintain this sharing of information and problem solving. The fiscal managers have adapted the meeting model of actually meeting once a quarter and having conference call meetings in between.

The CEOs will meet regularly to ensure information gathered in each of our CSBs is disseminated to other CSBs. They will ascertain what issues need to be addressed by the Committees of the GACSB. In addition, with the loss of over one-third of the CEOs during the next year, this interest group can become an opportunity for new CEOs to meet and spend time with more experienced CEOs who can inform them of the purpose of the GACSB and Select Systems.

This groups task is to be helpful to the billing staff in accomplishing tasks of the ever changing billing system that CSB’s are faced with. Bringing together billing personnel to discuss issues, problems, and solutions is very valuable to the mission of the GACSB.
